Forever Fit

Small group training for adults over 65
Stay Strong Enough to Keep Doing What You Love
Forever Fit is designed for adults over 65 who want to stay active, capable and independent for as long as possible. The goal is not simply to add years to life. It is to make sure those years still include the people, places and activities that make life enjoyable.
That might mean travelling without worrying about whether you can manage the walking, keeping up with the grandchildren, gardening, playing golf, carrying your own shopping or simply feeling confident getting up and down without hesitation.

Why it matters
It Is Not Just About Living Longer
Independence is made up of ordinary movements. Standing from a chair, getting out of bed, carrying something from the car, climbing steps and staying steady when the ground changes all rely on strength, balance and coordination.
Forever Fit works on those qualities in a structured small group setting. The exercises are chosen because they support everyday movement, not because they look impressive. Over time, small improvements can make a very real difference to how confidently you move through the day.

Real training, not a watered-down class
Training That Respects Your Age Without Underestimating You
Forever Fit is not a watered-down class where everyone simply goes through the motions. It is a proper training program, but one that recognises that people over 65 may have different starting points, health considerations and goals.
Your coach can adjust movements and resistance to suit you, and the challenge can increase as you become stronger. You will not be asked to compete with anyone else, but you will be encouraged to keep improving from your own starting point.

The programs
What We Work On
Six qualities, trained together, so the program feels relevant to what you actually want your body to do.
01
Strength
Strength helps with many of the things you do every day, from standing and climbing stairs to lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. We use appropriate resistance to help build and maintain that capacity.
02
Balance
Balance is something that can be practised. Sessions include movements that challenge stability in a controlled way so you can build greater confidence on your feet.
03
Mobility
Maintaining useful movement matters. We work on the ability to move comfortably through the ranges you need for everyday life.
04
Fitness
Cardiovascular fitness supports walking, travelling and staying active for longer without feeling as though every task takes too much out of you.
05
Coordination
Good movement also depends on timing and control. Coordination work helps you feel more confident when changing direction, stepping or combining movements.
06
Functional Movement
The program is designed around the movements that matter in daily life, so the training feels relevant rather than disconnected from what you actually want your body to do.
Who it suits
Who Forever Fit Is For
Forever Fit may suit you if you want to remain independent, improve your everyday strength or feel more confident about balance and movement. It is also a good option for people who have been inactive for a while and want a supportive way to return to exercise without stepping into a large, intimidating gym environment.
Many members also value the social side. A regular class gives you somewhere to be, familiar faces to see and people who notice when you are there. That sense of routine and connection can be just as important as the physical training.

Before you begin
Starting Safely
If you have a medical condition, injury, recent procedure or concerns about exercise, speak with your doctor or relevant health professional before starting. Let the Beyond Limits team know about anything that may affect your training so we can discuss whether Forever Fit is suitable and what adjustments may be needed.
The aim is not to rush. It is to begin at the right level and build confidence over time.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need gym experience?
No. Many Forever Fit members are new to structured exercise. The sessions are coached and movements can be adjusted to suit your current ability.
Will I have to lift heavy weights?
You will use a level of resistance that is appropriate for you. As you become stronger, the challenge may increase, but the goal is progress rather than lifting for the sake of it.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and enclosed training shoes are suitable for most sessions.
Can I join after an injury or operation?
Speak with your doctor or treating health professional first, then let us know about any advice or restrictions before you begin.
Is it social?
Yes. Forever Fit has a friendly group atmosphere. The sessions are still focused on meaningful training, but there is plenty of room for conversation and connection.

Keep Saying Yes to More
The point of staying strong is not to spend more time thinking about exercise. It is to keep saying yes to the holiday, the walk, the family day out, the garden, the golf course and the things you enjoy doing on your own terms.
